Measurement Guide

Materials required to take measurements :

  • Measuring Tape
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Notepad

How to measure :

  • We require the body measurements in inches.
  • Accurate measurements are the key ingredients to achieve that perfect fit.
  • You can measure yourselves with a help of a measuring tape using the guidelines listed below or with the help of a friend.
  • The person being measured must stand in an upright posture,in a relaxed manner. Do not slouch.
  • Avoid wearing heels/footwear while measuring unless you wish to wear heels/footwear along with the outfit.
  • Never take the measurements too tight or too loose.
  • While measuring ensure to wear minimal clothing as additional clothing layers affect the accuracy.

Chest: The circumference measurement taken exactly at bust point.

Waist: The circumference measurement taken at where the yoke part ends or taken at the navel.

Shoulder: The lengthwise measurement taken at the back from left shoulder to the right shoulder.

Arm Hole : This is the circumference/round measurement taken at your armpit or at the end of your shoulder.

Front Neck: Measured diagonally from front shoulder to the lowest point of the neck.

Back Neck: Measured diagonally from back shoulder to the lowest point of the neck.

Hand length: The lengthwise measurement is taken from the sleeve opening to the end of the sleeve.

Hand Loose: The circumference measurement take at the bicep ( for short hands length) & taken at elbow ( for elbow hands length)

Hand Loose: The circumference measurement take at the bicep ( for short hands length) & taken at elbow ( for elbow hands length)

Dress Length: Measured from shoulder to floor-length or till ankles if you want ankle length dress.

Yoke Length: Measured from shoulder to where you want the yoke part to end. It may be from shoulder to a little below underbust or up to the navel.

Blouse Waist : This is taken at the point where your blouse ends, a little below the bust usually.

Lehenga waist: The circumference measurement is taken at the lehenga start( at where you tie your lehenga)
Blouse Length: Measured from shoulder to end of the
blouse.
Lehenga Length: Measured from lehenga waist(the point where you tie your lehenga) to floor-length.

Shoulder: The lengthwise measurement taken at the back from left shoulder to the right shoulder.

Front Neck: Measured diagonally from the front shoulder to the lowest point of the neck.

Back Neck: Measured diagonally from the back shoulder to the lowest point of the neck.

Pleats Type: This indicates how you want the pleats or frills for your long frock / lehenga.

Boat Neck :

Ideal neck deep : 4 to 5.5 inches.

Rounded Square :

The edges of a square neck are rounded.

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 7.5 inches.

Sweetheart Neck :

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 8 inches.

V Neck :

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 8 inches

Square Neck :

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 7.5 inches.

Round Neck With Potlis :

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 8 inches

Round Neck :

Ideal neck deep : 6 to 8inches.
